In conjunction with the soft opening scheduled for May 9th, the Imperial Hotel Kuching is offering a special opening promotion room rate from RM180 nett per night which include breakfast and in-room Wi-Fi for a limited period of time. On April 30th, the Imperial Hotel Kuching offered a sneak preview of what their hotel was like on the inside. Stepping into the four-star business hotel lobby was like stepping into the 1960s or 1970s; besides being spacious, the interior décor has a touchy of retro elegance.  WELCOME: The spacious lobby area is a great waiting as well as meeting area for guests. Nestled in the heart of Kuching just five minutes' drive from the Kuching International Airport and 10 minutes to the city central business district (CBD), the Imperial Hotel is situated on top of the Boulevard Shopping Mall so guests may expect immediate access to facilities, amusement and entertainment. Located at the lobby on the left side of the registration counter was one of my personal favourite spots, the Business Center where secretarial services and internet work stations are provided for guest use. Besides the free Wi-Fi provided, guests can also enjoy personal space for working or private meeting. The four-star hotel features 325 well-appointed suites including two executive floors carefully designed to create comfort and practicality for guests. In addition, each room has complimentary in room Wi-Fi and wired Internet access points as well as individual controlled air conditioning.  SPACIOUS: The corner deluxe room is spacious to accommodate a whole family. Other facilities provided in each room are a 42-inch flat screen LED TV, an in-room safe, mini-fridge, coffee and tea making facilities, bathroom with bathtub and separate shower, ironing facilities and hair dryer. For hours of entertainment, the Imperial Hotel also takes pride in being the first hotel in Sarawak to subscribe to the Hospitality Entertainment Solution, HyppTV from Telekom Malaysia (TM) with the latest ICT and entertainment package. Besides accommodation, Imperial Hotel also offers extensive conference and meeting facilities appropriate for large conferences, wedding receptions, exhibition, seminar and other private function which features the magnificent pillar less Imperial Grand Ballroom measuring 1517 sq m with a 10m high ceiling which can accommodate up to 1,400 persons for a sit-down banquet while the equally impressive semi-circular Boulevard Grand Ballroom has the capacity to hold 500 persons for a banquet style reception. MAGNIFICENT: The Imperial Grand Ballroom which has the capacity for 1,400 people is equipped with a large built-in LED screen. LOUNGING OUTSIDE: The garden terrace is provided for a multipurpose events as well as serves as a smoking zone. For food lovers out there, the Imperial Garden Restaurant might just have what you are seeking: the contemporary all-day dining restaurant has cooking stations serving breakfast daily and an extensive a la carte menu to choose from. Weekend promotions include 'The Great Imperial Feast" buffet dinner every Friday and Saturday and 'Tea Time Treats' hi tea buffet every Saturday and Sunday.  DINING IN THE GARDEN: The contemporary Imperial Garden Restaurant serves variety of dishes which opens from 6 am till 11 pm. The hotel features 325 well-appointed guestrooms and suites and two executive floors, all carefully designed with practicality and comfort in mind. Each guestroom is tastefully furnished and complete with complimentary in-room wi-fi and wired Internet access point. It also comes equipped with individual control air-conditioning, 42-inch flat screen LED television, a laptop-size in-room safe, a mini bar fridge, coffee and tea making facilities, HyppTV channels, a bathroom with bath tub and separate shower, an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. The hotel is also the first in the state to subscribe to the Hospitality Entertainment Solution, the hassle-free offering from Telekom Malaysia (TM) with the latest ICT and entertainment package comprising In-Building Broadband Solution (IBS) and TM's IPTV service, HyppTV, all powered by TM's high-speed broadband network connectivity. In addition to this, there is also the Business Centre as well as the Fitness Centre featuring a fully equipped gymnasium, sauna and steam room complemented by an outdoor swimming pool.
