Armed man robs budget <b>hotel</b> - The Borneo Post Online Posted: 04 Dec 2014 10:50 AM PST MIRI: An armed man robbed a budget hotel of RM969 on Wednesday. In the incident around 3.15am, the unknown man is said to have entered the hotel at Jalan Melayu and pointed a sharp object, believed to be a knife, at the cashier. He is said to have demanded the key to a room for him to collect something that supposedly belonged to his friend. Feeling threatened, the cashier reluctantly handed over the key. The suspect then went to the room and when he returned minutes later decided to ransack the cashier's counter. He took the cash with him and then fled the scene. A police report on the incident was filed at the Miri Central police station.
